Welcome! I’m so glad you are here.
My name is Kelsey Paprocki and I am the hands and smile behind The Happy Little Potter. I have always had a passion for art: creating, admiring, collecting. I have spent all my adult life surrounded by an artist community. It all started when I enrolled in college classes but no matter what classes I took, nothing sparked a passion. Until I enrolled in a photography class… that was it, I was hooked. I proceeded to obtain my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from the University of California, Irvine. There I dabbled in a variety of mediums, including film photography, digital photography, drawing, wood sculpture, metal sculpture, and FINALLY ceramic sculpture. I truly enjoyed it all!
Fast forward to graduation, I was so blessed to land a job working for an arts organization where I was able to put my skills to good use for a few years! Then in 2015, my husband and I welcomed our first tiny human. And then in 2017, we welcomed our second tiny human. And let me tell you, working a rather demanding job with two little humans under two is a challenge. That’s when I decided to quit my day job and stay home with my kids. And it took all out about 6 months for me to go slightly stir crazy. In an attempt to find some peace and me time, I enrolled in a class at a local ceramic studio just for fun. Well after about 6 months, I had so many pieces cluttering up my house, that I figured I would try to sell them at a local art festival…
And now it has been 5 years and I have taken over the garage, created a full home studio, participate in multiple shows per year and teach classes and workshops. I fill all the rest of the moments in the middle with raising my (now) three tiny humans.
I live in Lake Forest, CA with my husband and three kiddos.
